Jackie Evancho To Perform With Ocean City Pops This Summer

Evancho finished as a runner-up on NBC's "America's Got Talent" at the age of 10.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Jackie Evancho, a young singer who finished as a runner-up on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” at the age of 10, is coming to Ocean City this summer. She will be part of a special Ocean City Pops performance at the Ocean City Music Pier on July 29, 7:30 p.m.

After her appearance on “America’s Got Talent,” she went on to make history with achievements that include: youngest solo platinum artist, youngest Top 5 debut artist ever in the United Kingdom, youngest person to perform a solo concert at the Lincoln Center and the highest-ranking debut artist of 2010. All six of Evancho’s albums have hit No. 1 on the Billboard Classical chart.

Evancho performed the national anthem at the 2017 presidential inauguration and recently released a long-awaited new album, “Two Hearts,” which features popular hits both old and new, and classical crossover Italian songs. It also illustrates Evancho’s emerging gifts as a collaborative songwriter.

She says the title of the album says a lot about her growth. Her heart is always in the classical crossover singing her fans love, but she said she is discovering another facet of her work: a love of songwriting and a new, expressive pop sound.

On the night before her show, Evancho will join the 64th annual Night in Venice parade, and greet fans from the deck of a boat in this year’s procession.
