Jeff Van Drew To Help Own-Of-Towners Assess Storm Damage

The congressman wants out-of-area homeowners to stay away because of the coronavirus. But his office can take photos of damage.

SOUTH JERSEY — The push to keep people at their primary home doesn't stop because of Monday's storm, according to Jeff Van Drew. The congressman's office offered to help out-of-town homeowners check on their properties.

Van Drew's office will take pictures outside of people's homes to help assess potential property damage. He would like people own of town to remain at home during the new-coronavirus outbreak.

"We can help, but please stay away for now from the area,” said Van Drew. “With the hidden scourge of COVID-19 we are asking that you do not come here yet. We understand you may want to assess any potential damage, and we can help in this endeavor.”

To request a picture of the street view of your property, email info.vandrew@mail.house.gov a street address and proof of ownership, such as a utility or tax bill.

Cape May and Atlantic Counties both experienced gusts of more than 70 mph.
