Jitney Cancels Wildwood Weekday Shuttles Due To Dwindling Ridership

WILDWOOD, NJ - Jitney’s Wildwoods Island Shuttle is canceling its weekday service due to “very lower ridership,” officials said.

Jitneys scheduled Sundays through Thursdays are no longer running, effective immediately, according to North Wildwood and Wildwood Crest Facebook pages.

Jitneys will now run on Fridays and Saturdays only from 6 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., the pages wrote.

The company, which has been shutting Central and South Jersey since 1915, runs routes in Wildwood, North Wildwood, Wildwood Crest, Ocean City and Cape May, according to its website.
