Katherine Jenkins To Perform In Ocean City Aug. 11

OCEAN CITY, NJ - Tickets for a special concert featuring Katherine Jenkins, one of Great Britain’s all-time favorite singers, and the Ocean City Pops goes on sale this week.

The show is set for Aug. 11, 7:30 p.m., at the Ocean City Music Pier on Boardwalk at Moorlyn Terrace. Tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 8.

Jenkins was officially crowned the No.1 selling “Classical Music Artist of the Last 25 Years” by Classic FM. She made chart history when her last album, “Celebration,” became her 12th UK Classical No.1 album in 12 years. These record-breaking achievements cemented her position as the world’s most prolific artist in UK Classical chart history.

She recently released “Guiding Light,” her 13th and most personal album yet. She calls the album, “the culmination of a deeply emotional journey that began when her beloved father, Selwyn, died and when she became a mother.”

It is an album that speaks of life, hope, acceptance and a universal spirituality, and for Katherine there is a sense of a greater purpose to her performances. Jenkins also placed second in the 14th season of “Dancing with the Stars." She was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2014 for her music and charitable services.
