Tickets For KC And The Sunshine Band In Ocean City On Sale Thursday

OCEAN CITY, NJ — One way or another, there will be sunshine in Ocean City Memorial Day Weekend.

KC and the Sunshine Band will make their Ocean City debut on the Music Pier on Sunday, May 28.

The band fuses Caribbean, R&B and funk music with the singular purpose of “creating instant happiness through music.”

Beginning in April of 1975, the band produced four No. 1 hits over a 12-month span, including “That’s the Way (I Like It),” “Get Down Tonight,” “(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty” and “I’m Your Boogie Man.” “Keep It Comin Love” hit No. 2. Its last No. 1 hit came in 1980, when “Please Don’t Go” topped the chart for one week.

In 2014, the band recorded the theme for the blockbuster film, “Kingsman, the Secret Service.”

Tickets are $75 and go on sale on Thursday, March 2, 9 a.m. They’ll be available at oceancityvacation.com/boxoffice, by calling 609-399-6111, or in-person at the City Hall Welcome Center or the Roy Gillian Welcome Center on the Route 52 causeway.
