Kelley Nigra Named General Manager of The Shore Club in Cape May

Hospitality Industry Veteran to Lead the Jersey Shore's Favorite, Family-Friendly Private Golf Club

The Shore Club, the Jersey Shore’s premier family-friendly, member-owned golf club, proudly welcomes Kelley Nigra as its new General Manager. With over 25 years of hospitality management experience, Nigra brings a stellar track record of success to The Shore Club as it embarks on Phase II of its modernization project since being rebranded and relaunched in 2018.

Nigra transitions to The Shore Club from Morningstar Golf & Hospitality.Nigra joined Morningstar in 2016 as the Corporate Director of Food and Beverage for the golf management company’s portfolio of public and private properties. Morningstar supervises The Shore Club’s overall strategic and operational direction and believes Nigra’s extensive knowledge of food, beverage, and member service will benefit the club.

“For several years Kelley has elevated service levels and performance at other Morningstar courses and clubs and helped train our onsite teams to deliver superlative service. She will bring that focus to The Shore Club where I know the positive results will be tangible, from the bag drop to the ballroom,” says Morningstar Golf and Hospitality President Matthew Galvin.

Nigra will play a pivotal leadership role at The Shore Club, supervising extensive renovation and rebranding of the club’s member dining and bar areas; working with the golf staff on the next phase of the course’s bunker restoration; enhancing catered events; and expanding the club’s social calendar.

Nigra’s career in golf hospitality management began in 1991 at the public Bensalem Country Club (Bensalem, Pennsylvania), where she learned all aspects of the club’s hospitality services. In 2007, Nigra’s expertise extended into the private club industry when she joined Yardley Country Club (Yardley, Pa.).

In 2011, Nigra joined the prestigious Talamore Country Club (Ambler, Pennsylvania) as Food and Beverage Manager, quickly taking the lead in assisting and overseeing a 1.2-million-dollar reinvention of the main clubhouse and Food & Beverage Program. She was tasked with every aspect of the project to include: design, layout, décor, equipment, service contracts, staff hiring, training, and menu design.

The Shore Club

Opened in 1916 and re-launched in the spring of 2018, The Shore Club (formerly Wildwood Golf & Country Club), is centrally located in Cape May County, New Jersey, only minutes from Cape May, Stone Harbor, Avalon, Wildwood, and Sea Isle. This family-friendly, relaxed private club boasts a classic, 6,714-yard Wayne Stiles/John Van Kleek-designed course that is highlighted by narrow fairways, small push-up greens, and immaculate conditioning.
