Allman Betts Band Added To Ocean City Summer Concert Lineup

OCEAN CITY, NJ - The Allman Betts Band has been added to the lineup for Ocean City's 26th annual Summer Concert Series at the Ocean City Music Pier, city officials announced on Monday. The band, which consists of the sons of legendary Allman Brothers Band members Gregg Allman and Dickey Betts, will perform on Monday, July 8, 7 p.m.

Devon Allman and Duane Betts are recording an album and launching a worldwide tour for 2019. The tour will include new music, songs from solo projects and classic Allman Brothers tunes in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Allman Brothers Band. Berry Oakley Jr. (son of original Allman Brothers Band bassist Berry Oakley) is also part of the band, and the concert will feature a special guest still to be announced.

Tickets for show will go on sale Friday, Jan. 11. A pre-sale will take place from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 10 (use code BRE). For more information and ticket links, visit www.ocnj.us/SummerConcerts.

Freddie Mercury and the iconic band “Queen” is the subject of the new movie, “Bohemian Rhapsody.” It won a Golden Globe for Best Drama Film, and Rami Malek won the award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury.

Anyone who hasn’t gotten enough of the band in the theaters can catch a tribute band in Ocean City next summer. Killer Queen will perform at the Ocean City Music Pier on Monday, July 15, 7 p.m.

The series brings a wide variety of contemporary performers to the stage in Ocean City with most concerts on Monday nights. In addition to The Allman Betts Band and Killer Queen, tickets are also on sale for the following shows:
