Last Chance: Kindergarten Registration
Parents and legal guardians must return packets on Tuesday, April 24.

Parents or legal guardians of any child who lives in Ocean City and who will be 5 years old on or before Oct. 1, 2012, must register the child for kindergarten on Tuesday, April 24.
The is asking parents to pick up a registration packet for the 2012-13 school year any time prior to registration day. The packets are available at the school 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on school days. Parents unable to pick up a packet at the school can call 609-399-3191, ext. 6400, to make other arrangements.
The school is also asking anybody who knows of a family with kindergarten-aged child to let them know about the registration process.

Completed packets must be returned—in-person—on April 24. Registration hours will be 9:30 a.m. to noon and 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Primary School (550 West Ave.)
Parents who suspect their pre-school child may have special needs can get assistance form their local school district's Child Study Team. Ocean City schools have a Child Find Campaign to locate and provide services for children ages 3 to 21 who may have adaptive, personal-social, communication, motor or cognitive difficulties. Children may qualify for professional guidance, speech/language interventions and/or an educational program free of charge through the Ocean City School District. Information is also available on how and where to obtain services for children from birth to 3 years old.
