Lasagna Love, Feeding Those In Need, Seeks Ocean City Volunteers
Lasagna Love NJ, which feeds homemade lasagnas to hundreds of residents, is in need of volunteers in the Ocean City area.
OCEAN CITY, NJ — Hundreds of New Jersey residents enjoy homemade lasagna each month thanks to the Lasagna Love NJ organization. And they are seeking volunteers in the Ocean City area who want to make a difference in their community.
The global non-profit aims to help families in need, whether they are going through financial hardship or a medical crisis, by providing them with a warm, comforting meal.
“Delivering lasagnas to a family in need warms the hearts of everyone involved. About one hundred lasagnas are delivered every week in New Jersey, thanks to the kindness of our volunteers,” said New Jersey Regional Director Donna Disbrow. “Last Fall, 500 families waited months for a lasagna, because the requests outweighed the number of volunteers. All of those families have now been fed, but in order to prevent that from happening again, we need more volunteers to cook, donate supplies, and deliver lasagnas.”
