Liberty USO to Collect Donations at Stainton's in Ocean City Next Week

Liberty USO representatives will visit Stainton's next Wednesday.

Liberty USO representatives and military personnel will visit Stainton’s Gallery on Wednesday, Dec. 3, to collect 100 stocking care packages filled with donations as part of ‘Operation Stocking Stuffers,’ Stainton’s representatives said on Wednesday.

The stockings will be shipped overseas to U.S. troops for the holidays. Representatives will visit Stainton’s from 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m.

The drive, which has been ongoing since Veteran’s Day, concludes on Tuesday, Dec. 2.

The five collection items still needed are: hard candy packages (87, three-8 oz. packages); packs of gum (64); small packages of trail mix (81); small packages of sunflower seeds (93); and large candy canes (44). Stainton’s encourages everyone to donate at least one – if not more – of these items by simply bringing them to Stainton’s and dropping them into their donation bins.

“Stainton’s wanted to do something special for the holidays this year, and we thought there’s nothing more special than giving to those who are fighting to protect our freedom – especially over the holidays,” Stainton’s General Manager Kerrin O’Neill said. “It is an honor to work with Liberty USO and a great opportunity for us to demonstrate our gratitude.”
Stainton’s is located at 810 Asbury Avenue.
