Lineup Announced For Somers Point Beach Concerts

SOMERS POINT, NJ — For its 31st year, Somers Point is promising to deliver unforgettable musical experiences with its highly anticipated 2024 AtlantiCare Concerts on the Beach series, kicking off later this month.

The AtlantiCare Concerts on the Beach series, set against the backdrop of Somers Point's Bayshore, is coming off its win as the 2023 Best Outdoor Concert Series in America by USA Today.

All 2024 AtlantiCare Concerts on the Beach concerts are free, starting at 7 p.m. on the beach at New Jersey and Bay Avenue in Somers Point, NJ. The Somers Point Beach Concerts are free and held on William Morrow Beach, located on Bay Avenue between Higbee and New Jersey avenues in Somers Point, where the public is invited to bring their beach chairs and blankets. In addition to the live music, concertgoers will enjoy the bayfront beach views of the sunset reflecting off the bay and the Ocean City skyline as the backdrop.

The diverse lineup of performers includes international recording artists, Grammy Award winners, members of the Rock ‘n’ Roll and International Blues Halls of Fame, as well as top regional acts performing a variety of musical genres from country, classic and jam rock, blues, soul, jazz, and swing, among others. The series kicks off on June 14 with Bywater Call, an emerging Americana/Canadian roots rock and jam band known for their big southern soul sound. This performance marks their Jersey Shore debut.

Continuing the momentum on June 21, The Billy Walton Band, featuring Destinee Monroe, takes the stage, showcasing their dynamic blend of rock, Motown, funk, disco, soul, and blues.

"We are thrilled to be hosting Bywater Call and The Billy Walton Band, two acts that perfectly encapsulate the spirit of summer with their unique blend of genres."

Funding for the Somers Point Beach Concert Series has been provided in part by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts, through a grant administered by the Atlantic County Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs. To reach the beach via public transportation from the North or South, buses stop on Shore Road. Go east on New Jersey Avenue to Bay Avenue. A wheelchair-accessible area is on the Higbee Avenue side of the beach near the stage.
