Much of English's work reflects specific aspects of her life, from lighthouses to barns and farms, her grandchildren to “Sentimental Stills,” anemones to mountains, the Jersey Devil to her whimsical “Animal Castles” series. She was inspired to include marine life and vacation venues in her work through global travel and scuba diving experiences.

English is a self-taught watercolor artist who grew up in South Jersey. Her career started more than 40 years ago, starting her "Custom Artwork" business in 1987, offering classes and programs, custom framing, commissions, illustrations and much more.

English captures intricate details in her artwork, stemming from her early life experiences. Starting around the age 4, she described daily sightings to her blind father. This led to an appreciation for every color, contour, texture, contrast and line.

Her work has been recognized and awarded throughout the tri-state area and beyond. English has been featured in countless galleries, awarded dozens of school grants and helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for patient advocacy.
