Location Change Announced For Ocean City Veterans Day Ceremony
The ceremony is set to begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Saturday’s Veterans Day Ceremony will take place at the Ocean City Tabernacle, 550 Wesley Avenue, city officials announced on Thursday. The ceremony, scheduled to begin at 11 a.m., was originally scheduled to take place at Veterans Memorial Park.
A Freeze Watch is in effect through 10 a.m. Saturday morning, according to the National Weather Service. The forecast for Veterans Day calls for a high near 43 degrees and winds of 6 to 13 mph.
Michael Strange Foundation President Charles Strange will be the keynote speaker for this year's ceremony. The Michael Strange Foundationis named after Charles's son, a decorated Navy cryptologist who was killed in action in Afghanistan. The foundation supports the families of recently fallen service members.

The ceremony also will include music, remarks, prayer and the placing of a memorial wreath. Ocean City's Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and American Legion posts sponsor and participate in the event.
Veterans Memorial Park is located between Fifth Street and Sixth Street on Wesley Avenue. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held across the street at the Ocean City Tabernacle.
