Longport Schools Close to Deal to Send Students to Ocean City and Atlantic City
Ocean City will consider the agreement on April 29, and Longport will consider it April 30.

The Longport Board of Education will consider a dual sending-receiving agreement with the Ocean City and Atlantic City school districts at its April 30 meeting, the Ocean City Gazette reports.
The Longport Board of Education entered into a sending-receiving agreement with Ocean City High School at its July 7 meeting.
That approval allowed families to send their children to Ocean City High School without using the School Choice Program.

Initially, Longport wanted to be able to continue the program with Atlantic City while establishing one with Ocean City, according to the report.

The State initially denied the request to have a relationship with both districts, but Longport appealed that decision and won, according to the report.
Atlantic City already approved an agreement allowing Longport families to choose between itself and Ocean City, and Ocean City is expected to do the same on April 29, according to the report.
