'Madagascar: The Musical' Kicks Off Summer Of Kids Shows At Ocean City Music Pier

There will be a total of five family friendly theatrical productions over the next few months.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — The Greater Ocean City Theatre Company (OCTC) has assembled talented, professional casts to bring to life a wide range of stories at the Music Pier this summer. There will be a total of five family friendly theatrical productions over the next few months.

It all begins with “Madagascar: A Musical Adventure” on Monday, July 3, 10:30 a.m. Join Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, Gloria the hip hip Hippo and, of course, those hilarious, plotting penguins as they bound onto the stage in the musical adventure of a lifetime.

The show, based on the DreamWorks animated film, follows all of your favorite crack-a-lackin’ friends as they escape from their home in New York’s Central Park Zoo and find themselves on an unexpected journey to the madcap world of King Julien’s Madagascar.

“The Trial of Goldilocks” offers an exciting retelling of the familiar fairy tale where Goldilocks is brought to court to face the charges of breaking and entering the Bears’ cottage on July 11.

“Curious George: The Golden Meatball” brings the inquisitive, lovable, monkey star of books, movies, and PBS television show to life on July 18.

The beloved children’s book will jump off the pages in his new show “The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley” on July 25.

“StinkyKids: The Musical” wraps things up on Aug. 1. StinkyKid Britt loves making everyone happy. But this girl who never gets in trouble is in a sticky situation – literally: she has an impossibly epic wad of gum stuck in her hair.
