Mamma Mia, Newsies Coming To Ocean City

Ocean City is getting a little bit of Broadway. The Ocean City Pops Orchestra, Ocean City Theater Company and professional cast members will team up for the following performances this summer at the Hughes Performing Arts Center.

Mamma Mia

The musical contains ABBA's greatest hits, such as "Dancing Queen," "Super Trouper" and "Lay All Your Love on Me." Shows are 7:30 p.m. on July 9, 10 and 12, as well as 2 p.m. July 11.

Newsies

The 1992 movie has been adapted for Broadway, receiving eight Tony Award nominations and winning twice. Shows are 7:30 p.m. Aug. 6, 7 and 9, as well as 2 p.m. Aug. 8.

• “Elephant & Piggies: We Are In A Play”: 10:30 a.m. July 9
• “Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Musical”: 10:30 a.m. July 16
• “Stellaluna: The Musical”: 10:30 a.m. July 23
• “How I Became A Pirate”: 10:30 a.m. July 30

Tickets for all shows will be available Friday at oceancityvacation.com/boxoffice, by calling 609-399-61112. You can also purchase tickets at City Hall (861 Asbury Avenue), the Roy Gillian Welcome Center on the Rt. 52 causeway and the municipal building at 46th Street and West Avenue.
