Man Seriously Injured When Car Overturns In Ocean City: Police

He was injured when his car crossed the center line and struck another car head-on on 27th and Wesley.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — A Salem County man suffered a serious hand injury after an accident left his car overturned in Ocean City Sunday night, police said.

Kevin DiPatri, of Pilesgrove, was driving north on the 2700 block of Wesley Avenue when it crossed the center line, according to the Ocean City Police Department. It struck another car that was heading south head-on.

DiPatri’s car overturned, and he seriously injured his left hand, police said. He was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City, where he was in stable condition. He was also issued a summons for careless driving.

The other car spun out and hit a parked car, police said. There were four people in the other car, and they were all taken to Shore Memorial Hospital for complaints of minor pain. No one was in the parked car when it was struck.
