Man Strangled Woman In Jersey Shore Road Rage Incident: Police
Christopher Krier, 49, was charged with aggravated assault after he tailgated another driver and attacked her, North Wildwood police said.
NORTH WILDWOOD, NJ — A Pennsylvania driver was charged with aggravated assault after a road rage incident lead to him strangling another driver, North Wildwood police said.
Christopher Krier, 49, of Jamison, PA, was driving in an "aggressive manner" and tailgating the car in front of him on Aug. 20, police said.
The woman in front of Krier rolled down her window and made a comment about his driving and children in the area, police said.

The two pulled over and got out of their cars, police said. They walked towards each other and Krier attacked the woman, strangling her, until a bystander stepped in, police said.
Krier then drove away, fleeing the scene before police arrived, according to police.

Officer Vincent Deritis investigated and a warrant was issued for Krier, police said.
Several days later, Krier turned himself in, was charged with second degree aggravated assault and was taken to the Cape May County Correctional Center.
"The North Wildwood Police Department would like to remind the public that road rage incidents can quickly escalate," police said. "We advise the public to contact the police department to report aggressive driving, rather than taking things into their own hands."
