Martin Z. Mollusk, Spring Block Party Return to Ocean City in May

The weather predicting hermit crab will look for his shadow on May 5.

Ocean City, NJ -- Punxsutawney Phil may not have seen his shadow this week, but Ocean City residents are concerned with the weather predictions of a critter of another kind.

Weather predicting hermit crab Martin Z. Mollusk will venture onto the beach opposite the Music Pier at Moorlyn Terrace around 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 5, in search of his own shadow.

If he sees his shadow, summer comes a week early to the family resort. All rejoice by singing Martin’s theme song “Some Enchanted Morning.”
