Mayoral Debate, Candidates Forum Ahead Of Election In Ocean City
Two upcoming events will give Ocean City residents the chance to hear what the candidates in the May 8 non-partisan elections have to say.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Two upcoming events will give Ocean City residents the chance to hear what the candidates in the May 8 non-partisan elections have to say.
First up is the council candidates forum. The three candidates running for the at-large seats have been invited by Fairness In Taxes to come to the Ocean City Library Auditorium on Tuesday, April 23, 7 p.m.
Council President Peter Madden, Councilman Keith Hartzell and Councilwoman Karen Bergman will have the opportunity to answer questions from the public discuss their accomplishments and goals for the future of Ocean City. They are all running unopposed in their re-election bids.

The second is a debate between Mayor Jay Gillian and challenger John Flood. It will be held on Friday, April 27, 7 p.m.. also in the library auditorium. This event will be moderated by the League of Women voters and divided into two parts.
During the first part the candidates will field questions from the public. During the second part the candidates will pose questions for each other with opportunity for rebuttals.
