Miss New Jersey Will Be Crowned In Ocean City This Weekend
The parade kicks off the festivities Wednesday night, and the winner will be crowned Saturday night.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Ocean City residents can get their first glimpse of the 28 contestants vying for the Miss New Jersey crown during the annual free parade Wednesday night. It begins at 7 p.m., and proceeds from Sixth Street to 14th Street on the Ocean City Boardwalk.
This year’s theme is “Television Comes Alive on the Boardwalk,” and the contestants will be dressed according to the theme. In a longstanding pageant tradition, they also will “show their shoes.” The parade also includes marching bands, entertainers, community groups and local business entries.
The preliminary competitions will be held on Thursday and Friday nights, 7 p.m. on the Ocean City Music Pier. Two of the contestants have ties to Ocean City. Former Little Miss Ocean City Natalie Ragazzo and former Ocean City Intermediate School student Madison Kennelly, a former Ocean City Intermediate School student will both compete in the pageant.

The preliminaries include swimsuit and talent competitions, and interview questions, among other show elements.
The final round will take place on Saturday night, June 17, 7 p.m. on the Music Pier. Reigning Miss New Jersey Brenna Weick will crown the winner.

Action News 6-ABC weather anchor Karen Rogers will host the pageant all three nights. She’ll be joined by co-host and former Miss New Jersey, Dena Blizzard, on Thursday evening.
