WOODBINE, NJ — New Jersey State Police are seeking the public's assistance in locating a Woodbine man who was last seen around Feb. 2. John Dayton, 55, is described by police as a white male, about 5'9" and 180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Dayton is known to frequent Smokey's Meat Market in Woodbine and Bubba's Discount Liquor Store on Delsea Drive in Vineland, police said. Anyone with information is asked to contact Troop "A" Woodbine Station at 609-861-5698 or the State Police Missing Persons &amp; Human Trafficking Unit at 609-882-2000, ext. 2893. Prepare to step back in time as the Cape May Renaissance Faire announces its grand opening, and transforms the Cape May County 4-H Fairgrounds into a bustling festival, May 2 &amp; 3, 2026. The new event promises immersive and whimsical fun, fantasy, music, crafts, food and drink; providing a unique escape for families and the young at heart.&nbsp;

The Cape May Renaissance Faire aims to bring the rich traditions of medieval-era entertainment to the local community, blending historical flair with fantastical fun. Attendees can try their hand at archery and axe throwing, shop with various artisanal vendors, or watch the many entertaining performances on 4 stages. Patrons are encouraged to dress in clothing of the bygone area, as the mythical character they wish to be, or just come as they are.
