Moorestown Woman Lived To Be 102 Years Old

Harriet Stephens Patterson blessed her family with 102 years of life. She joined God peacefully with her family around her on January 18.

Harriet Stephens Patterson blessed her family with 102 years of life. She joined God peacefully with her family around her on January 18, 2018. She is survived by her loving daughters Anne Kunkel, Susan Mauriello, and Mary Ellen Elmes. She has seven, adoring grandchildren, Melissa Spartz, Jeff Mauriello, Todd Deluca, Christina Scalia, Matt Deluca, Sean Elmes, and Ashli Elmes. She was also blessed with twelve adoring great grandchildren.

Harriet was born in San Francisco, Ca on December 5, 1915 into a family with a long military history. She continued that history when she married her beloved husband, the late Capt. Omar Patterson, at Ft. Monmouth, NJ in 1941. She resided in Moorestown, NJ for sixty-five years. She was an active parishioner of the Trinity Episcopal Church where she was a member of the Altar guild for over thirty years.

Her volunteer services included: the Burlington County Hospital, the Moorestown Woman’s club, the American Home club, the Coriell Institute and the DAR. She enjoyed participating in many bridge clubs and social events and was a member of the Moorestown Field Club where she enjoyed golf and tennis. She also loved to travel. She had many other interests, but her main love of life was her family and many friends.

She leaves a wonderful legacy through all her adoring daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who will continue to embody her heart and zeal for life.

Memorial service is 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday Jan. 23, 2018, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 207 W. Main St.
