Motorcyclist Killed In Head-On Jersey Shore Crash: Police
Two cars and a motorcycle were involved in the Thursday night crash in Egg Harbor Township near the Somers Point border, police said.
EGG HARBOR TWP., NJ — A Somers Point motorcyclist died Thursday night in a head-on collision in Egg Harbor Township near the Somers Point border, police said.
The crash happened at about 8:13 p.m. on Longport Boulevard, Egg Harbor Township police said.
Alfred Mottola II was heading west on a 2023 Harley Davison motorcycle in front of Graef's Boatyard when he crossed over the center line into oncoming traffic, colliding head-on with a 2010 Nissan Rogue heading east, police said. A third vehicle, a 2020 Porsche Cayenne, was also involved in the crash as it was heading west.

Mottola II, 66, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The Nissan's driver, a 17-year-old girl from Glassboro, stayed on the scene. She suffered a minor injury and refused treatment from EMS, police said.

The two occupants of the Porsche, a 63-year-old man and 60-year-old woman from Marmora, were uninjured, police said.
Longport Boulevard was closed for about five hours. The crash remains under investigation.
