Multifamily Ocean City Home Damaged In House Fire

The Simpson Avenue home was badly damaged in a fire Friday afternoon, according to Ocean City officials.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — A multifamily home was badly damaged in a fire Friday afternoon, Ocean City officials said.

The home, on the 900 block of Simpson Avenue, caught fire around noon, according to the Press of Atlantic City.

Video from the Ocean City Fire Department shows firefighters making entry as flames and smoke pour out of the windows and front door.

According to the Press of Atlantic City, all residents were safely evacuated and no one was injured.

Firefighters were quickly able to control the fire, the report said.

The displaced residents are being taken care of by the American Red Cross and the Ocean City Office of Emergency Management, according to the report.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
