N.J. Activists Plan Healthcare ‘Stakeout' Outside Frank LoBiondo's Office

Citizen action teams will "stake out" six New Jersey Republican politicians on March 16 and 17 to protest "Trumpcare."

A New Jersey citizen action group plans to hold “stakeouts” at the offices of six Republican politicians, including Rep. Frank LoBiondo (R-2) to protest President Donald Trump’s planned replacement for the Affordable Care Act (ACA), also known as Obamacare.

Grassroots advocacy group New Jersey Citizen Action announced that its members will be "staking out" the six Congressional members’ offices from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 16 and Friday, March 17, to protest "Trumpcare,” according to a release from organizers.

They will be set up outside LoBiondo’s office at 5914 Main Street in Mays Landing, among others. (See list below.)

Activities include prayer, sing alongs and “best sign” contests, organizers stated.

Supporting organizations include the New Jersey Healthcare Coalition, which is chaired and staffed by New Jersey Citizen Action, the New Jersey Resistance, New Jersey Working Families Alliance and the Communications Workers of America.

“It's absolutely vital that we show our GOP congressmen that we stand united against the immoral and irresponsible dismantling of our health care system,” organizers stated.

Rallies are also planned outside the following offices:

  • U.S. Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen – Morristown, 30 Schuyler Pl.
  • U.S. Rep Leonard Lance – Westfield, 425 N. Ave E
  • U.S. Rep Leonard Lance – Flemington, 361 NJ-31
  • U.S. Rep. Chris Smith – Freehold, 112 Village Center Dr.
  • U.S. Rep. Tom MacArthur – Marlton, 535 E Main St.
