'New Beginnings' Gala To Fundraise For Arts In Cape May
With East Lynne Theater Company's 43rd season in full swing, you can support the artists at their annual fundraising gala.

CAPE MAY, NJ — East Lynne Theater Company is fully in its 43rd season, and now you can celebrate and help support the company through its annual fundraising gala, set for Sept. 26 at The Lobster House.
Called the “New Beginnings Gala” to represent the exciting happenings that have been taking place at East Lynne, namely, its new Artistic Director Craig Fols and its future location at Allen African Methodist Episcopal Church (AME) in 2024, the cocktail attire event will feature a cocktail hour with a cash bar, followed by dinner with options such as chicken Francaise, baked stuffed shrimp or a vegetarian platter. The night’s entertainment includes DJ Ed McDonough, as well as an exciting live performance by the newlywed co-stars of Joel Grey's recent production of “Fiddler on the Roof,” Stephanie Lynne Mason and Drew Seigla.
“This has truly been an exciting year for East Lynne Theater Company,” said Fols. “We have been breathing fresh, new life into this special theater company thanks to an incredible array of actors who have helped create a stellar season of productions with performances in ‘A Tale of Two Cities, Cobbled Together by the Brothers Lovejoy,’ ‘Driving Miss Daisy’ and ‘Love Letters,’ that we feel this gala is the perfect way to join with the community to celebrate the arts in a fun and happy way.”

Earlier this year, East Lynne announced that it was offered a 25-year lease to create a home in Cape May’s historic Allen African Methodist Episcopal Church (AME) at 717 Franklin St. for its future productions. Having had a successful tenure at the First Presbyterian Church of Cape May for more than 20 years, the Company will use this gala as a way to help raise funds for renovations so that they may open there in the near future.
In addition to the live performances, the gala will also feature live and online auctions, offering attendees the opportunity to bid on exclusive items and experiences that cannot be found
elsewhere.
