Alexander Leading NJ-02 Primary: Democrat Unofficial Results
Unofficial results showed that Tim Alexander is in the lead for the Democratic nomination.

NEW JERSEY — Tim Alexander leads Carolyn Rush by a few thousand votes with 66.7 percent of votes counted, according to the Associate Press.
The vote tallies remain unofficial until they are certified later in June as the final official results.

Two candidates are running to hopefully win the Democratic spot in the 2022 general election: Tim Alexander and Carolyn Rush.
Alexander, of Oceanville, is a retired law enforcement officer and current civil rights attorney. He is running for unity, according to his website, saying that leadership should be the focus instead of partisan politics. His top issues include social justice and civil rights, women's rights and creating jobs.

Rush, of Sea Isle City, has worked for 35 years as an engineer. Her top issues are women's rights, climate change and improving the economy for the middle class.
