NJ 4-Year-Old Run Over By Tractor, Police Say

The boy fell off the tractor and was subsequently run over, New Jersey State Police told Patch.

UPPER TWP., NJ — A 4-year-old boy was airlifted to a hospital after he was run over by a tractor, New Jersey State Police told Patch.

The boy was riding on the tractor on Sunday when he fell off and was subsequently run over by one of its wheels, Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said.

"Due to the nature of the incident, responders requested a medical helicopter for rapid transport to a specialty hospital," Upper Township EMS said.

Marmora firefighters quickly set up a landing zone for the helicopter, the EMS said.

The boy suffered non-life-threatening injuries, Lebron said.

The investigation remains ongoing and no further information is available as of Tuesday afternoon, Lebron said.
