NJ Blizzard: Full Power Expected to Be Restored Today; Some Speed Restrictions Remain
More than 130,000 customers have had their power restored since the storm hit this weekend.

Atlantic City Electric expected all power to be restored to customers by the end of the day Monday, the electric company said.
By early Monday, crews had restored service to more than 130,000 customers who had lost power during the first major storm of 2016.
As of 10:30 Monday morning, there were still about 750 people in Cape May County without power, according to the Atlantic City Electric Outage Map. About 130 people in Ocean County were still in the dark, and a minimal number of outages continued to be reported throughout the service area, including Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, Cumberland and Salem counties.

The hardest hit areas were in Avalon, Margate, Tuckerton Beach, Beach Haven West, Sea Isle City, North Wildwood, Ocean City and Stone Harbor. Tree and line crews worked as safely and quickly as possible in challenging conditions.
“We want to thank our public officials and our emergency service partners, who braved the weather and took time away from their families to fulfill this critical public service,” Atlantic City Electric Atlantic Region President Vince Maione said. “We appreciate and thank our customers for their patience during the restoration. High winds, poor visibility and flooding in coastal areas made the job difficult but our crews were focused and committed.”
