The annual run remembering fallen military members will be in Cape May County on Sept. 22. It's supported by the Ocean City American Legion.
OCEAN CITY, NJ — NJ Run for the Fallen, the annual run honoring military members who have lost their lives, will head through Cape May County on Sept. 22.
A team of military members from Joint Base McGuire/Dix/Lakehurst and more throughout the country will come together to run a 195+ mile journey in honor of every New Jersey servicemember who died in support of the global war on terror.
Each mile run is dedicated to a fallen military member and their Gold Star family. After each mile, the team stops at a "Hero Marker" to present a flag and personalized biographical card to waiting family members and friends. The goal is to create a "Memorial Trail" throughout the state.
