NJ Woman, 20, Dies In Florida Condo Shooting

A shooting at a Florida condo Thursday morning killed a 20-year-old New Jersey woman and injured another, police said.
Bridget Quinn of New Jersey, whose hometown was no identified, was revealed as the fatal victim in the shooting, according to Cape Coral, Fa. police.
At around 10:52 a.m., Cape Coral Police responded to a call of a person shot at 4717 SW 13th Avenue, Unit 209. When officers arrived and secured the scene, they found two people who sustained gunshot wounds. They were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Later, at the hospital, Quinn died as a result of her injury. Next-of-kin have been notified.
Cape Coral Police Department Patrol Bureau officers, Major Crimes Unit (MCU) detectives, Forensics personnel were at the scene for several hours yesterday, interviewing witnesses, and gathering evidence.

A Ping4alert! was sent, informing nearby residents and motorists of the shooting and increased police activity. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
"As it is still very early on in this investigation, we are not able to go into detail regarding the specifics of this tragic incident. We do want to re-emphasize the point that there is no danger to the public at large as a result of this incident or any events surrounding it. Once we are able to complete some more of the technical aspects of the investigation, we will be able to release more details publicly," said Lt. Dana Coston, Cape Coral Police Department public affairs officer.
