Nobody Steps Up to Challenge Three Incumbents on Board of Education

Joseph Clark, Greg Donahue and Antwan McClellan will run unopposed in the April election for new three-year terms.

The deadline to file for candidacy for three seats on the Ocean City Board of Education passed at 4 p.m. Tuesday, and the three incumbents were the only ones to submit paperwork.

The school board includes nine members from Ocean City, who are elected in staggered years, and three members from Upper Township, who are appointed to one-year terms.

McClellan was named by the current board to fill the unexpired seat of Jay Gillian, who had to leave the board when he was elected as Ocean City's mayor in May.
