OCBP Women Dominate Longport Invitational
The Ocean City Beach Patrol women's team places in every event to win the Longport Women's Lifeguard Invitational on Tuesday.
The Ocean City Beach Patrol women's team defended its title at the Longport Women's Lifeguard Invitational on Tuesday with a dominant performance.
OCBP scored in every event to earn 28 points. Ventnor and Wildwood Crest were next with 16 points apiece -- though Ventnor was awarded second place by merit of a better finish in the doubles race.
The win was Ocean City's sixth in the event since it began in 1998. Ventnor has won seven times.

Ocean City's doubles crew of Rachel Boudart and Emma Elmer opened the competition with a fourth place in the doubles row.
Swimmer Erin Curry followed with a second place in the swim, catching a wave to surge ahead of defending Cape-Atlantic champion Mackenzie Howarth of Ventnor at the finish. Howarth finished third.

Shawnee Foglio got a great start and cruised to a second-place finish in the singles row.
Brittany Sedberry left the field behind in the paddleboard race and caught a wave at the finish to eliminate any threat.
