Ocean City Air Festival Set For Next Weekend

The festival is Sept. 16, followed by the air show on Sept. 17.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Some of the world’s best stunt pilots and aerobatic champions will be on hand for the annual Ocean City Airport Festival at the Municipal Airport next weekend. The show is set for Saturday, Sept. 16, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The airport is located at 26th Street and Bay Avenue.

The festival features a ground display of unusual airplanes ranging from the World War II era to classics and warbirds, according to Ocean City Public Information Officer Doug Bergen. The free family event also includes activities for children, antique cars, music, food, “Bubblemania” with the Ocean City Board of Realtors and more.

The stunt pilots and aerobatic champions will perform the following day during the Boardwalk Aerobatic Air Show. That event will also include military demonstrations and parachutists landing on the beach during the show, which is set for Sunday, Sept. 17, 1 p.m. This show is best seen from the beach and boardwalk between Sixth Street and 14th Street.
