Ocean City Among The Best In NJ, Cape May County: Niche

OCEAN CITY, NJ — New rankings put Ocean City among some of the best places to live in New Jersey and in Cape May County, according to the 2023 Niche "Best Places" rankings.

The platform released the 2023 Best Places to Live in America list on Monday, along with rankings by state. Read about their methodology here.

According to Niche, Ocean City ranks as the 436th best place to retire in America - which doesn't sound like much, but considering it's out of 12,677, that puts it pretty high. It's also in the top fifth of best places to live in the country, Niche says.

It's also the 26th best place to retire in all of New Jersey, according to Niche.

Niche also says that Ocean City has the best public schools in Cape May County. It's the second best place in the county for young professionals and for raising a family, the new rankings say. In the county, it's the third best place to live (behind Cape May and Avalon).

Niche gives Ocean City an overall "A" ranking. Here's the breakdown:
