Ocean City Announces Postponements Due To Weather

Ocean City residents are also invited to send pictures of weather conditions to Patch.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Ocean City officials announced a pair of postponements related to the latest winter storm that struck New Jersey this week.

The Ocean City Board of Education and Zoning Board meetings that were scheduled for Wednesday night, March 21, were postponed. The Board of Education meeting was rescheduled to 7 p.m. on Monday, March 26. The Zoning Board meeting will meet at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28.

Trash and recycling pickup remained on a regular schedule for Thursday, March 22. The contractor also will return to Wednesday's route for anybody who was unable to put out trash in yesterday's storm. Residents are asked to brush snow off lids to make trash cans visible for the addresses that need pickup.

Flooding has reportedly cleared on parts of the island, but snow has accumulated. Anyone with pictures of flooding or information concerning conditions in their area is invited to email Anthony.Bellano@patch.com.

As of 10 a.m., there were less than 100 power outages in Cape May County, even as outages persisted in other parts of South Jersey, including Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cumberland, Gloucester, Salem and Ocean counties. To track outages among Atlantic City Electric customers, click here.
