Ocean City To Auction Off Unclaimed Bikes

OCEAN CITY, NJ — The City of Ocean City will hold its annual Bicycle Auction from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the Shelter Road Recycling Center. You can bid on used bicycles that police have deemed abandoned or unclaimed.

About 100 bicycles and other items will be fore sale. Successful bids typically range from $1 to $350, giving people the opportunity to purchase a bike for a low cost.

Registration for the event begins at 9 a.m. You must bring a driver’s license, passport or valid ID is required to register.

All items are sold with no warranty. Accepted forms of payment are bank checks with ID, traveler’s checks and cash. No credit cards will be accepted. Rain date is Thursday.
