Ocean City Basketball Teams To Compete In Boardwalk Classic
The six-day tournament raises college scholarship money for graduating seniors for Wildwood and Wildwood Catholic high schools.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Both the boys and girls basketball teams from Ocean City High School will participate in the largest high school co-ed basketball tournament in the country over the holiday break. This year’s Boardwalk Basketball Classic at the Wildwoods Convention Center from Dec. 26-31.
The six-day tournament raises college scholarship money for graduating seniors for the two high schools that host the tournament, Wildwood and Wildwood Catholic. It has raised over $300,000 in scholarship money since its inception in 1998.
The Ocean City boys team will play three games in this year’s Classic. It will play Burlington City in a Crest Savings Bank Battle of the Boards showcase game on Saturday, Dec. 23, 2:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, Dec. 26, it opens play in the Ray Martin Memorial Bracket. It will face Conrad Sciences of Delaware at 5:30 p.m. Millville plays Lower Moreland in the other game in the bracket at 4 p.m. the same day.
The championship game will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 27, 8:30 p.m. The consolation game is at 11 a.m. the same day.

The Ocean City girls team opens play in the GWITDA Bracket on Tuesday, Dec. 26, 11 a.m., against Hatboro Horsham of Pennsylvania. Strath Haven and Methacton, both Pennsylvania high schools, meet in the bracket’s other game at 12:45 p.m.
The championship game will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 27, 6:45 p.m. The consolation game is at 9:30 a.m. the same day.
