Ocean City Bike MS: City to Shore 2026 Canceled

OCEAN CITY, NJ — The National MS Society has canceled this weekend’s Bike MS: City to Shore event because of forecasted extreme weather conditions, according to a news release. The ride had been scheduled for Sept. 26 and 27, 2026.

In the announcement, the organization said it made the decision "out of an abundance of caution for the safety of participants, volunteers, staff, spectators, and community members." The National MS Society said the event was called off after organizers monitored weather forecasts and consulted with event partners.

A nor'easter is expected to slam Ocean City this weekend.

"The safety and well-being of everyone involved remains our highest priority," the National MS Society said in the statement. The organization also said organizers determined that the expected conditions "could pose significant risks to attendees and event operations."

The event would have taken riders from Cherry Hill to Ocean City.

The National MS Society said additional information will be communicated directly to registered participants. Updates also will be posted on the event website, www.bikemscitytoshore.org, according to the announcement.
