Ocean City Board of Education Reserves Seat for Longport

The non-voting seat will rotate between three members of the Longport Board of Education, according to the Ocean City Gazette.

A vote that paves the way for 12 students from Longport to attend Ocean City High School also allows for a Longport seat on the Ocean City Board of Education, the Ocean City Gazette reports.

The non-voting seat will rotate between three Longport Board of Education members. The first member to sit at an Ocean City meeting was Carl Tripician, according to the report.

On July 7, Longport approved an agreement to send its students to Ocean City High School without using the School Choice Program. It had been sending students to Atlantic City. On Aug. 27, Ocean City approved the agreement.
