Ocean City Boy Scout Troop Hosts Super Chili Bowl

Prizes will be given for Best Chili, Most Unique Chili, Hottest Chili and Best Cornbread.

Finally a chili winter day that everyone can enjoy. Boy Scout Troop 32 of Ocean City will host the third annual Super Chili Bowl on Feb. 2 from 4-6 p.m. Prizes will include Best Chili, Most Unique Chili, Hottest Chili and Best Cornbread.

The event is free for chefs and participants and $5 per person, charged at the door, for taste-testing guests. The general public will vote on each prize after sampling the chilis.

"We’re looking to get chili cooking chefs to enter our friendly fray,” scoutmaster Dean William Mitzel said in a statement. “We’ve had two successful contests so far, and we want this year to be even bigger.”
