Ocean City Boys Soccer Team Overcomes Timber Creek to Advance in Playoffs

The Red Raiders found a way to score two goals against a Timber Creek goalie that made 14 saves, according to nj.com.

The Ocean City High School boys soccer team overcame a stellar performance from Timber Creek’s goalie in a 2-0 win in the first round of the South Jersey Group III playoffs, according to nj.com.

Both of top-seeded Ocean City’s goals came in the second half. Donnie VanMeter and Zach Zelters found the back of the net for the Red Raiders. Both goals were set up by an assist from Aaron King.

Goalie Dan Martinez helped No. 16 Timber Creek remain competitive, with 14 saves.

Ocean City will host No. 8 Pinelands in the quarterfinals.
