Ocean City Coronavirus Updates: Manco Reopening, School Update

OCEAN CITY, NJ — There's a lot of news to keep up with right now — locally, nationally and worldwide. Here's a recap of coronavirus updates in Ocean City and Cape May County.

Cases

The Cape May County Health Department has reported six active coronavirus cases in Ocean City as of 1 p.m. Wednesday. Officials have cleared 46 people off quarantine, and the virus has killed three Ocean City residents.

The CMCHD has reported 129 active cases, 704 people cleared off quarantine and 80 deaths in the county as of 1 p.m. Wednesday. That includes 29 active cases, 142 cleared off quarantine and 54 deaths linked to longterm-care facilities.

Testing

• Testing locations for COVID-19 now include Cape Regional Urgent Care in Wildwood, Marmora, and Cape May Court House, Cape Regional Hospital, Complete Care Health Network and CVS in Seaville. Proof of insurance is not needed at the Cape Regional Urgent Care locations.
• Shore Medical Center offers tests to determine whether patients have antibodies to the coronavirus. All asymptomatic individuals are eligible for the blood test. MORE.

• Manco & Manco Pizza is gradually opening its three boardwalk shops following last week's coronavirus closures. MORE.
• The Ocean City School District has important decisions to make before in-person learning, in some capacity, returns this fall. The district's Return to School committees continue to work out details for the reopening plan. MORE.
