Ocean City Edges Pleasantville In Thanksgiving Football Game
Ocean City survived a late two-point conversion attempt by Pleasantville, nj.com reports.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — The Ocean City High School football team foiled a last-ditch 2-point conversion attempt by Pleasantville to hold on for a 34-32 win in their Thanksgiving Rivalry Game on Thursday.
Harry Pfeifle found the end zone on a pair of 5-yard runs, and threw a 23-yard pass to Bob Shallcross in accounting for three Red Raiders touchdowns in the win, according to nj.com.
Isaac Robertson had a 29-yard rushing touchdown, and Liam Bergman’s 7-yard run put Ocean City up 34-20 in the fourth quarter.

After that, Sahmir Jones threw two touchdown passes to close the gap for the Greyhounds. The first was a 45-yard pass to Mohamed Toure, followed by a 3-yard pass to Brian Stalworth.
Pleasantville had connected on 2-of-4 extra point attempts before the final touchdown pass. After Stalworth scored the final touchdown, Pleasantville attempted to run for a 2-point conversion, was stood up by the Ocean City defense.

Ocean City put the wraps on a 7-3 season that included an appearance in the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 3 playoffs. Pleasantville was also 7-3, and qualified for the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 2 playoffs.
