Ocean City Election Results Likely Available Friday: Clerk

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Ocean City's City Council election results are likely to come Friday, according to officials. The elections, which are heavily vote by mail, will take a few days to tally.

The Cape May Board of Elections will likely post results on their website Friday, according to Ocean City Clerk Melissa G. Rasner.

Ballots postmarked on or before election day and received by 8 p.m. Thursday may be counted. Counting of mail-in ballots will continue Wednesday and Thursday.

But voters can visit City Hall to cast a ballot in person from 12-4 p.m. Tuesday.

The County doesn't expect complete results until Friday and will likely complete the write-in tally next week, according to Cape May County Clerk Rita Marie Fulginiti.

Candidates

Only the Third Ward election is contested. Anthony Wilson and Jody Levchuk are both running to represent the area.

Here are the candidates (four-year terms):

  • First Ward: Michael DeVlieger
  • Second Ward: Tomaso Rotondi
  • Third Ward: Jody J. Levchuk
  • Third Ward: Anthony P. Wilson
  • Fourth Ward: Robert S. Barr
