Ocean City First Day, First Night 2018: Updated Schedule
Temperatures will dip to 12 degrees during the New Year's weekend, causing the cancellation of at least one event.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — The cold temperatures in the forecast for this weekend have taken their toll on at least one event scheduled for Ocean City over the New Year's Weekend.
Due to concerns for public safety in frigid weather conditions, the First Dip polar plunge scheduled for Monday, Jan. 1 in Ocean City has been cancelled, city officials announced on Thursday. All other events will go on as scheduled.
The high for New Year's Day is expected to be 22 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures will drop as low as 12 degrees, on New Year's Eve, and 13 degrees, on New Year's Day.

Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 30. Wind chill values as low as -1. West wind 6 to 11 mph.

Friday Night: A chance of snow showers after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 19. Northwest wind 7 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
Saturday: A chance of snow showers. Cloudy, with a high near 33. West wind 7 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 19. Blustery.
Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 25. Blustery.
Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 12. Blustery.
New Year's Day: Mostly sunny, with a high near 22. Blustery.
Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 13. Blustery.
All events for Ocean City's First Night are still scheduled to go, including performances from the legendary Chubby Checker and the opening of the newly restored U.S. Life Saving Station 30 at the intersection of Fourth Street and Atlantic Avenue.
