Ocean City Flooding Committee Holding Info Session Nov. 16

OCEAN CITY, NJ — The Ocean City Flooding Committee and several speakers will hold a flooding information session at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16 at the Ocean City Public Library.
Topics will include flood insurance, what individuals can do about flooding and what the community can do with data.
The following people and groups will make presentations:

- Ocean City Flooding Committee, a chapter of Higher Ground
- Dr. Tom Herrington, PhD, hydrologist
- Julia Kumari Drapkin, CEO of ISeeChange.org
- Michele Herrington, Global and Community Social Work Practice master's student at Monmouth University
- Michael McMahon, claims manager, McMahon Insurance
There will be additional speakers and plenty of time to ask specific questions on flooding issues. McMahon can answer questions on flood insurance.
Our group has made great progress addressing the flooding here in Ocean City and that success is due in large part to many of the residents learning what our problems are and what solutions are available," Ocean City Flooding Committee founder and chair Suzanne Hornick said in the promo.
