Ocean City High School Baseball Team to Open Diamond Classic Against Kingsway Saturday
The Diamond Classic is the unofficial championship tournament of South Jersey baseball.

The Ocean City High School baseball team earned an at-large berth in South Jersey’s unofficial championship tournament.
The Red Raiders (12-4) open the 42nd annual Joe Hartmann Diamond Classic at Maple Shade against Kingsway (12-4) on Saturday, 1 p.m., according to nj.com.
Ocean City qualified as the top wild card team. Kingsway is currently in first place in the Tri-County Conference’s Royal Division.

A total of 16 teams from what is traditionally considered the South Jersey area will compete in the tournament, with 10 teams qualifying because they were in first place in their division at the cutoff date and six other teams qualifying as wild-card teams.
The second round is scheduled for Saturday, May 16, with the semifinals and finals on Sunday, May 17.

St. Augustine vs. Eastern, 1 p.m.
At Hammonton:
Northern Burlington vs. Buena, 10:30 a.m.
Rancocas Valley vs. Haddonfield, 1 p.m.
At Maple Shade:
Ocean City vs. Kingsway, 1 p.m.
At Washington Township:
Lenape vs. Gloucester Catholic, 10:30 a.m.
Cherry Hill West vs. Bishop Eustace, 1 p.m.
