Ocean City High School Field Hockey Team Advances to South Jersey Final

The Ocean City High School field hockey team will play for a South Jersey championship.
The top-seeded Red Raiders defeated No. 4 Hammonton, 9-0, to advance to the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 3 championship game, according to nj.com.
Maria Farnan led the way with three goals, while Rialee Allen had two goals and two assists. Jordan Allegretto had two goals and one assist. Julia Herrington had one goal and two assists, and Kate Blumberg added a goal.

Ocean City improved to 20-1, and will host No. 2 Cumberland Regional in the final on Friday.
Cumberland (17-1-1) advanced to the final with a 2-1 win over No. 3 Mainland.

After receiving a bye, Ocean City advanced to the semifinals with a 5-1 win over No. 8 Timber Creek in the quarterfinals.
Rialee Allen led Ocean City to the win with three goals and an assist. Maria Farnan and Julia Herrington each had a goal. Jordan Allegretto and Nicholl Fenton each had an assist.
Cumberland also received a bye, and defeated No. 7 Triton, 4-1, in the quarterfinals.
